Our jeans are made from high-quality denim, but please be aware that especially new and dark colours can transfer colour, both during wear and washing. This is because jeans are often dyed with excess dye, where the dye isn't completely bonded to the fibres, which can result in colour transfer onto skin, shoes and furniture.
Dark denim colours such as indigo or black are particularly prone to transferring onto light-coloured fabrics. Rubbing against other surfaces can also cause colour transfer during wear.

To minimise the risk, it is recommended:
- Wash the jeans separately for the first few times and always with similar colours to avoid discolouration of other clothes. Wash with "like colours".
- Turn the jeans inside out before washing to minimise wear on the surface colour and reduce transfer.
- Avoid overfilling the washing machine.
- Wash gently at low temperatures (typically 30-40 degrees).
- Use a detergent designed for dark or coloured clothes.
- Avoid tumble drying. 
- Air drying is recommended to preserve the colour as best as possible.
- Be careful when wearing with light-coloured materials, especially when the jeans are still new.


Colour release is a natural characteristic of denim and usually decreases with time and after repeated washes. This way you can preserve the colour of your new favourite jeans and avoid staining other clothes.
