Recycled fibers extend the life span of the material we have already used. There are different ways and materials to recycle, and we have joined all forces and pushed ourselves to the limit. This time we offer you one pairs of jeans made of 100% recycled cotton and a second jeans made of high percentage of recycled cotton blend with cellulose fibre.

MIKE EVAN CJ 472 LID SN is made from 20% post-consumer and 80% pre-consumer recycled cotton. MIKE EVAN CJ 572 LID SN is made of 59% pre-consumer recycled cotton, 20% post-consumer recycled cotton, and 21% Tencel™ REFIBRA™. Tencel™ REFIBRA™ is made from 70% wood pulp and 30% recycled cotton scraps from garment production and post-consumer sources.

The old garments are collected from different fashion brands and handed over to partner companies for sorting like I:CO. GAMA purifies the cotton and dissolves any synthetic fibers such as polyester, nylon and elastane, after that the purified cotton is then recycled mechanically or chemically in Turkey.

Better dyeing methods lower the products environmental impact

Calik uses Dyepro for dyeing the fabric. During the dyeing method Dyepro no water is used and no chemical waste generated. This technology helps to save resources during dyeing and finishing steps during production.

The jeans are then stitched together at our manufacturer, Cross.

Using recycled cotton and better dyeing methods, we have lowered the product carbon footprint of these jeans compared to conventional jeans. 1

Through recycling materials we gain more value from the raw material.
